PUCET Admissions Process
1. Release of Notification: The first step in the admissions process is the release of the official notification by Panjab University. The notification contains essential information such as the exam date, eligibility criteria, application process, exam pattern, syllabus, and other relevant details.
2. Online Registration: Candidates interested in appearing for PU CET must register online through the official website. During the registration process, candidates need to provide their personal details, academic qualifications, and other required information. They will also need to upload scanned copies of documents, photographs, and signatures as per the specified guidelines.
3. Application Form Submission: After successful registration, candidates need to fill out the PU CET application form online. They should carefully enter all the required details and select the course(s) they wish to apply for.
4. Application Fee Payment: Once the application form is complete, candidates must pay the required application fee through the available payment modes (e.g., online payment, bank challan, etc.).
5. Admit Card Issuance: After the completion of the application process and the successful verification of fee payment, candidates can download their admit cards from the official website. The admit card contains important details such as the candidate's name, roll number, exam center, and exam date.
6. Entrance Examination: On the specified date, candidates must appear for the PU CET entrance examination at their designated exam centers. The exam is typically conducted in an offline (pen and paper-based) mode.
7. Result Declaration: After the examination, Panjab University evaluates the answer sheets, and the results are declared on the official website. Candidates can check their scores and ranks obtained in the exam.
8. Merit List and Counseling: Based on the PU CET results, the university prepares a merit list. Shortlisted candidates are then called for the counseling process. During counseling, candidates can select their preferred courses and colleges based on their ranks in the merit list. Seat allocation is done based on merit and availability of seats in the respective courses and colleges.
9. Document Verification: Candidates who secure seats during counseling must undergo document verification. They need to submit their original documents and certificates for verification purposes.
10. Admission Confirmation: Once the documents are verified, candidates are required to pay the admission fee and complete the formalities to secure their admission to the chosen course and college.
