The Delhi government allocates large amounts of money for the education sector budget.

The education sector of the budget of the Delhi government has been allocated Rs. 16 crore by the education minister Kailash Gahlot; this budget is for the years 2023–2024. The Delhi government has confirmed that they would be utilizing this amount by distributing tablets to all the teachers as well as the vice principals; also, the government would be setting up 350 computers in the capital as well. It has been confirmed in the news that the education sector of the Delhi government has received the highest amount of money in the budget. The Delhi government is planning to set up 20 new computers in the 350 schools in Delhi. Also, there are plans for specialized teaching of languages like German, French, Japanese, and Spanish; the government has thus decided to invest this amount in teaching students specialized languages.

The authorities have further decided to add more branches of the Ambedkar School of Specialized Education and also to increase the number of specialized schools from 20 to 35 in 2023–2024. The education minister has also confirmed to the media that there will be a collaboration between schools and skill industries to teach students various skills for their all-around development.

The Delhi government has shared its success stories and said that already 56 students have been placed in the top 7 colleges of Delhi in courses like BBA and B.Tech. The list of successes further added by the Delhi government said that in the past 8 years, they have sent about 1,410 teachers to countries like Finland, Singapore, and California, and a huge number of the faculty has received training at IIM Ahmedabad.

The framework laid out by the government to utilize this amount indicates that they are planning to have a more practical approach to teaching and learning methods and thus are investing more in technology and specializations.
