New Delhi: The MoE and the Parakh workshop reexamined rote learning and talked about assessment, exam procedures, and equality between national educational boards. Under NCERT, PARAKH has been established as the organization. It will deal with bringing the educational committees across the States and the Union Territories on a typical stage. As an initial step, a studio on school evaluations, assessment practices and proportionality of sheets the nation over was coordinated by the Ministry of Education and PARAKH today in New Delhi.

In order to develop a comprehensive strategy that ensures a fair assessment system that promotes equity in performance and equivalence in student assessment, PARAKH will serve as a common platform for interaction among all relevant stakeholders. Shri Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, the Department of School Education & Literacy presided over the workshop, which also included representatives from the Ministry of Education, CBSE, NCERT, NIOS, NCVET and NCTE. The meeting was attended by State Education Secretaries, State Project Directors School, SCERT and officials from India's State Examination Boards.

While tending to the members, Shri Sanjay Kumar accentuated the requirement for proportionality of sheets. In India, presently there are around 60 school assessment sheets that are working in various states/UTs.

The point is to lay out a bound-together system that empowers consistent changes for understudies moving between various sheets or locales. He added that this includes aligning curriculum standards, grading systems, and evaluation methods to improve certificates' credibility and recognition across boards.
