IIT JAM - Exam Related to Science, Arts and Education

The Indian Institute of Technology offers various Post Graduate Level Courses to not only the graduate students from Science Background but students from different Backgrounds like Arts and Education as well. For this they conduct a JOINT ADMISSION MASTERS TEST also called JAM. This year , IIT Guwahati released their JAM 4th admission list on July 7th 2023, on June 26, 2023, the institute released their JAM 3rd admission list. On June 15th 2023, the 2nd admission list was released and on june 1st, the 1st admission list was released. This admission list consists of the opening and closing ranks of the candidate secure in this JAM exam. This rank would help the candidate to secure a seat at the IIT Guwahati in the academic session of 2023. The Application window for JAM 2023 admissions was closed on the official website on April 25, 2023. Till 3rd of April, the application window was open for correction of data submitted in the application form. The correction window for the application form opened on March 27th , 2023.

JAM 2023, Application Process.

The application mode for this exam was online. The payment of the Application Fees was also via online mode, Net Banking, Debit Card and Credit card respectively. The application form for JAM 2023 was released on the official website on September 6, 2022. The candidates who are interested in filling the online form , have to fill and submit the application till October 14, 2022. The process of filling the JAM Application form is conducted via Online Mode. the IIT Guwahati made the process of applying in JAM through its online Portal, JOAPS ( Jam Online Application Processing System ). The Application form consists of the following 3 types of details: ● Personal Details ● Academic Details ● Exam Centre Details

Eligibility Criteria:

● IIT JAM allows students from Indian Nationality as well as students from Foreign Nationality. ● The exam has no age restrictions for the students who wish to apply. ● Candidates applying must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Science or in any of the following listed subjects: Geology, Biotechnology, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics , Physics and Chemistry. ● Candidates who are appearing in their final year can also apply for the exam. ● No minimum marks are required to appear for the JAM entrance exam. ● A proof that the candidate has qualified the degree with minimum educational qualification as listed by the Admitting Institute should be submitted by 30th of September , 2023.
